Ed Walko, DO
Board-certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
Dr. Walko, is a physician with decades of experience in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and has cared for patients in both hospital-based and outpatient settings throughout Coastal Virginia.
Dr. Walko earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Old Dominion University and his medical degree from the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed an Internal Medicine and Research Internship at Chicago Osteopathic Medical Center followed by residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore.
Dr. Walko plays an important role in the evaluation and oversight of new patients within the practice. Clinical research has also been an important part of Dr. Walko’s career since 1996, and he continues to serve as an investigator on ongoing research protocols at Gershon Pain Specialists.
Dr. Walko lives in Virginia Beach and enjoys remaining active in the community. Outside of medicine, he participates in local running clubs and enjoys surfing, traveling, and photography.
